THE STORY
An Illegal maid who accidentally drowned her employer's infant, now faces the dilemma on whether to leave the country with her daughter or stay and face the consequences.
An illegal indonesian domestic worker (siti) also a single mother had to work late night one day babysitting her employers infant, the baby starts crying and she tries to comfort her by bathing her in the bathtub. Suddenly, forgetting that she left the stove on, the kitchen stove burst into flames and she rushes to put it out. After succesfully doing so she returns to the bathroom and to her horror she realizes the pipe was left open the whole time and the bathtub is overflowing with water while the infant was still inside. Siti tried her very best to revive the baby but unfortunately failed. Being traumatized and distressed, she decided to leave the country with her rebelious daughter (Alya).
During their journey to escape, Alya was annoyed with not being told what had happened and starts rebelling. After being told a lie that her mum stole something instead of accidentally drowing an infant, she advice her mum to do the right thing and return it, eventhough siti knows it is impossible to do so. Along the journey to the port she sees a mother and her baby having a moment together and she knew this incident will forever haunt her. At the port Siti and Alya finally had time to talk to eachother and share a meal, But in the end Siti has to decide whether she goes back to jakarta with her daughter or stay and face the consequences
MEET THE CREW
Shankari Sukumaran ( Producer )
A hard working and dedicated young producer who is an outside of the box thinker when it comes to dealing with problems and obstacles. She has experience in producing and production design, she is also a final year student doing her Bachelors of Cinematic Arts in Multimedia University, Nusajaya.
Aiman Ariffin ( Director )
With a small background composing scores and designing sound, he also manage to take amazing stories and turn it into reality. Raised from a small town called Rawang, his visions and understanding of characters are beautiful since he relates them with people who are close to him.
Ayyub Yusof ( Writer )
Born and raised in Singapore comes a young and creative writer who is also passionate in the technical side of filmmaking. Loves traveling and exploring new cultures, he has written a journal of him soll traveling in europe for a month. Completed his internship in Biscuit Films enhanced his knowledge and experience, thriving for the best in their Final Year Project.
Farhan Aiman ( Cinematographer )
My job is to help translate words into images – find a way to tell the story. Placing the camera on the right spot is like using the right word in a sentence. There are many words to describe the same emotion, but the meaning depends on which one you choose.
CROWD FUNDING
We seek for additional fund to support our film making, and strive hard to make it to the top. Your generous fund contribution will be used for the following purpose:-
Locations - having great locations will help to raise the production value, and making a high-end film will not only helps to connect with the viewers more effectively, but also makes the project perceives value to go further.
Casting - Casting is very important process in film making as it helps to choose the right talent to suit with the character of the story.
Production Design - production designer helps to make and set up the location to look as real as possible in line with the story.
Additional Crew - needed to be hired, preferably people from the film production industry, as to help us with our project smoothly (i.e.audio recording on set, etc) and complete on timely manner.
Composer - choosing the right and quality composer for music scores and music arrangement play an important role in post-production in film making as it gives dramatic impact to audience's emotions to the story.
Craft Service - Craft service is the unit that provides food/meal for the crew on set while working.
Equipment - while working within the budget and minimise the expenses as possible, we still remain focus on the quality of the end result. Therefore we need to rent lighting and camera equipments as to get beautiful cinematic quality of this film.
Our producer will ensure that the funds are utilised in proper manner and wisely spent solely for the purpose of this project. The team members work on freewill basis.
Lastly, we really look forward to your kind contribution to fund for this film project and do share our page with others too.

The film is crafted by ambitious student filmmakerswho thrives to deliver emotional performances that drives the story. We want to tell a truthful, resonating, and emotional story. We are preparing for the worst when it comes to the production. We will push our standards within our individual capabilites to serve an emotional story with a cinematic value. No detail is overlooked.
We are not getting paid while making this amazing film because we recognise the importance to tell our story out there. People need to be reminded of their strenght to love someone and their sacrifice among them.
That is our goal which moves us to make this film, not the money. We sacrifice our time and talents to make this film because we believe in it.
We hope you believe in it too.
Filmmaking is not easy and no one thinks it will be. We did call for favours, every meals we can get, every friend we have for the sake of the film.
It is with the generosity of the people here in Malaysia will become a reality.
